A very artistic work. Less western and more Japanese than some of Kurasawa's other films. An unrivaled portrait of the sengoku wars and the characters involved, like Takeda Shingen, Oda Nobunaga, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the unnamed 'shadow warrior'.
