Review of Kagemusha (1980) by Yang H — 13 Jul 2008
A shadow cannot stand without the man. That is the argument presented by Akira Kurosawa is this epic period piece about the elements that make up a human being. Is it possible for someone to become something they're not.
If it is, can they become someone better? There is no right answer as is the case all of Kurosawa's classics. This combined with a mastery of color brings to life a time lost in history.
