Review of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) by Zariat R — 19 Dec 2007

A VERY NICE MOVIE!! I know a lot of people like me loved the movie and some people might have different opinions about the movie. I just wanted to share my thoughts and the fact that I think Karan Johar did a fantastic job in portraying what sort of problems certain individuals (not everybody) do go through in real life.

I personally have been severely injured and I thought I almost lost a leg..so I totally understand what Dev felt when he realized that he could never play soccer again. Even after this tragic accident when he was mentally very upset and frustrated with life, his wife Rhea, did not have time for her husband or her kid and was a bit selfish and extremely career oriented.

On the other hand, Maya, although she had a very nice husband Rishi, was very different from her husband and she felt as if something was still missing from her life. She loved Rishi (her husband) more like a friend and was not passionate about him.

When Dev and Maya become friends at first, they DID want to fix their own marriage, but in the process they ended up falling in love with each other, which was purely unintentional. That is true love.

They both knew what they were doing was wrong and so they went back and apologized to their spouses. It is very normal that they both got thrown out of their house, but still they didn't get back with each other and almost went on their own paths.

...I simply loved the ending of the movie, where fate led them to each other....and the last scene was absolutely beautiful, when Dev was telling Maya ".....I WANT TO SHARE MY PUNISHMENT WITH YOU.

..maybe my life won't be complete with you....BUT AT LEAST IT WILL BE A LIFE......." . A big Thanks to SRK and Rani for their amazing job in the movie..
