Review of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) by Rahul R — 29 Nov 2010
A little too long, and the contrivances of the plot towards the end are maddening, but the interactions of the main characters are realistically explored in a fresh, engaging fashion. However, a good cast (Rani Mukherjee, Shah Rukh Khan in one of his best performances, and Abhisekh Bachchan) and glorious photography, shot on location in New York City, are more than worth the price of admission.
Amitabh Bachchan's ridiculous character is also very, very entertaining. It's too bad, tighter plotting in the last third of the movie would definitely have led to a higher grade.
