Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Mateo L — 27 Jun 2018
It felt like a prolonged epilogue to Jurassic World. Not only doesn't offer anything new to the franchise, but the plot is a mess. Like a real mess. Furthermore, the visual delivery is disappointing, especially given the director's previous work, to the point that the movie likes any real thrill.
The opening scene underwater and the lava scenes were visually ridiculous. And just to add a note on diversity. How come a movie that takes place in Costa Rica for the most part and is directed by a Spaniard, doesn't include a single line of dialogue in Spanish or a single Hispanic actor? Universal is falling behind with the lessons that Disney and other companies are already applying.
