Underneath the first and second acts (it's clearly divided into 2 parts) is the thread of what it is to be considered sentient. Does a man made creature have less worth? It's easy just to watch it as an action flick with some good humour, but I got the feeling that there is something deeper being set up for the third film.

I think Crichton would have liked that- as 2 and 3 never explored. No wonder that it stems from the writer of WestWorld; just need JJ Abrams to direct the (?last) instalment!
