Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Tom W — 06 Jul 2018

I enjoyed Fallen Kingdom. When you really think about it, there's not really anywhere different you can take the 'Jurassic' franchise. It's simple- Dinosaurs are somewhere, dinosaurs get out, dinosaurs eat things.

When you look at it like that, I feel you have to give the people who wrote this movie a fair bit of credit. They've been paid to continue a story which has nowhere to go... It's fun for a couple of hours, and I'm fine with that. It's no masterpiece, but I feel that the moral questions which the film gives us to think about are kind of interesting. I think that the ending to this instalment gives us a good chance of having a brilliant Jurassic World 3 (though as much as I love dinosaurs, did we really need these films?).

One really negative thing to say, however... That bad guy SUCKS. He's only in the story to give you someone to hate.

Overall, you'll probably enjoy it once, but not feel compelled to watch again.
