January 17th, 2006 - Junebug - This is another movie that came to DVD today. It was much hyped by critics which is why I gave it a shot. I did not see whatever they saw. The entire movie is way too pedestrian for my taste, I could find similar characters in my own family, instead of watching a fake one.
I guess this movie is suppose to be a wacky, off beat comedy but I did not see the appeal and did not really enjoy it that much. I thought Amy Adams was hot and I was hoping there would be some fabulous plot twists later in the movie, which is why I didn't turn it off half way through, but there really weren't.
I only laughed a few times, mainly at the redhead talky pregnant woman. I didn't care much for any of the characters. I cannot recommend this.
