Review of Junebug (2005) by Laura M — 02 Dec 2008
It's the classic 'city person' outsider coming to be accepted (or not) by the small-town family. with advertisements pitching it as the next 'sweet home alabama,' I was shocked to discover that this film delves deep into the characters, and treats all of them with deep respect.
it's about the meaning of family, and marriage, and how you don't ever know someone until you understand where they came from.
