Review of Julius Caesar (1953) by Robbie P — 15 Feb 2008
In a faithful interpretation of arguably one of Shakespeare's best plays, this film is at times a pleasure to watch. However, some scattershot performances and some, well, lame production values (including the backdrops and score) really mar the rest, and at times it feels a bit rushed.
With some polish, this could have been a truly great adaptation of Shakespeare's play.
