Review of Jules and Jim (1962) by Elliot G — 29 Jul 2008
Everyone knows a woman like Catherine, everyone has a friendship like Jules and Jim. Between Truffaut and Godard, I prefer Truffaut, which is no slight against Godard. This film is so insightful, so beautiful, so touching and emotional, all of the style is merely a side dish to the great story being told.
You don't get that as much with Godard.
