Review of Jules and Jim (1962) by Tyson L — 21 Mar 2009
I've got to stop listening to podcasts made by film majors. I can see how somebody studying film could appreciate what was probably innovative camera work for that time. But everything else about this self-indulgent pile infuriated me. Oh, she wears pants and paints a moustache on her face. She's so unorthodox! Oh, she jumps in a river. She so flaunts society's conventions! Oh, she sleeps with every man in all of France and Austria and pulls a gun on anyone that refuses her. What a woman!
Not a sympathetic character in the whole movie. I wish they'd all taken a long walk off a short pier. Oops.
