Review of Jude (1996) by Mouaiad A — 06 Jul 2009
Michael Winterbottom's best film this impressively mounted version of Thomas Hardy's novel is beautifully shot (and, criminally, the r2 dvd is pan and scan only).
Most impressive though are the performances he draws from Christopher Eccleston, Rachael Griffiths as Jude's first wife and a sensational Kate Winslet as Sue.
