Si dos personas estuvieran hechas para estar siempre juntas, habría siempre forma de ignorar esa predestinación, afinidad o magia; sea por culpa, ignorancia o miedo. En algún punto de la película sólo pensaba en lo contrario, en que hay vínculos fortísimos, que de ahí copiaron 'el amor de las películas'.

Estampa bellamente lograda de la época (fines del siglo XIX): la mentalidad, el vestuario, los colores... La fotografía es excelente y la música entrañable.

La película es muy triste pues se trata del amor humano, el dolor, la fragilidad de nuestras decisiones y el poco sentido que tienen.... pero vaya que tienen consecuencias. No se puede decir demasiado de una película así, acaso hay que sufrirla, cotejarla con nuestra propia historia, con nuestros propios sollozos.

If two people were meant to be together, there would always be a way to ignore that kind of predestination, affinity or magic; by means of guilt, ignorance or fear. At one point in this movie I was thinking in the exact opposite, that there are bonds so strong that they became the model for the 'love from the movies'.

Beautifuly crafted portrait of the time (end of the 19th century): the way of thinking, wardrobe, the colors... The photography is excelent and the music very intimate.

This movie is very sad because it deals with human love, the pain, the fragility of our decisions and the little sense they have... but they have big consequences. You can't say many things about a movie like this, but that you have to suffer it, compare it with our own story, with our own sobs.
