Review of Joy (2015) by K Nife C — 05 Apr 2016
Oh yeah, I forgot about this one. Mostly because it is a story about a lady who invents a mop. Secondly, J Law, as she is known in Hollywood parlance, is not very good. De Niro was making beer money on this one.
I didn't care what was happening, but J Law was a determined motherly character, and the narration was quite wry. This was a competently made film about something that no one should care about or remember.
It's like advertisement worship. The actress/actors are a vessel by which ad culture perpetuates itself. If you remove the context, the story would have been much more human/humane. I would not recommend you bother with it in any regard.
