Review of Journey to the Centre of the Earth (1977) by Garrett C — 20 Sep 2016
Doesn't capture what makes the novel great, mainly by adding a lot of elements that are way more far-fetched than Verne's version. James Mason is as stoically awesome as you would want, but Pat Boone is utterly ridiculous and so is virtually every other element.
It's not even as campy fun as you would hope it is, but for folks looking into how Verne has been represented in other media its worth checking out.
