This is the best comic book adaptation out there; this could take down Batman any day. Now my views on this movie are probably biased since this is movie defined my pre-teen years. While girls now have High School Musical and Hannah Montana, I had Josie and the Pussycats.

It had all the glitz and glamour of being a star that captivated me and the pop music I loved. I still have their songs on my ipod. The idea of a small town making it big was the life I wanted to live, well I rather be an actor but still wanted to get the hell out of my small town.

Rewatching this as an adult I can still recite all the lines but more of the jokes make sense and I grasp the themes and concepts they are conveying. This satire in this movie is so brilliant and makes me laugh every time.

Rachel Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson and Tara Reid play the fictional band destined for fame in the MTV culture at the height of the pop band era while unknowingly being controlled by Mega Records who put subliminal messages through their music.

You canâ??t overlook the quirky and over the top villains played by the always funny Allen Cumming and Parker Posey. The movie has just as much fun with itself as the viewers. It is fast paced and a whirlwind of music, product placement and screaming teens which sums up the late 1990â??s and early millennium.

To many there are much better films then this but it still gives me the same thrill and excitement when I saw it for the first time when I was a wide eyed ten year old. It will always provoke the same feelings of awe and wonder when I see those girls playing a big stadium concert and musical montages.

It is my dream life and dream movie that I will always treasure.
