Review of John Dies at the End (2013) by Joe A — 24 Nov 2013
Dave (Chase Williamson) has ingested a drug that raises his senses to the point where he can hear the ghost of his dead friend (Rob Mayes). Together, they're the only thing that can stop an extra-dimensional invasion that threatens to envelop the whole world.
John Dies At The End is a swiftly paced horror flick that's enlivened by gallows humor and corny special effects. It does a strong job with adapting the unique and funny novel by David Wong. I wouldn't be surprised if it swiftly attains cult status.
