Review of John Carter (2012) by Liam C — 12 Aug 2013
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The build up to when he eventually got to Mars seemed a little unnecessary. But when he got there it was great. I noticed many hints to other films here, I noticed a little nod to Star Wars and Indiana Jones and all those movies but in the end it was a fun film, I didn't notice any pacing problems, it seemed a bit slow in some parts but that seemed like it was the point because it allowed the characters to grow.
It was a great family film, looked great and I could easily watch this time and time again. Too bad there wont be anymore.
