A very powerful film starring Nicolas Cage as an ex con who runs a tree poisoning business. He hires a young kid named Gary who he later finds out has some issues with his father. Joe starts to become a father figure to Gary.
As things start to unravel Joe starts to go down himself and leads to an ultimate showdown. This might be the best Nicolas Cage performance in awhile. Tye Sheridan is also very, very good. I really enjoyed the story seeing the trials and tribulations of all the characters.
