Review of Jodhaa Akbar (2008) by Davi M — 12 Mar 2008
I LOVED this movie. I thought it was a good balance of covering all topics of the time period, the strength of the Mughal empire and the compassion of the Rajputs in Hindustan. Yes, love between Hindus and Muslims has always been difficult, and will always be so, but it is humbling to know that there are those who put aside their differences for the better of the people as a whole.
My favorite scenes were when Jalaal got up to dance with the singers because he was so moved by the music, and the scene where Jodhaa prays with her mother in law.
