Review of Jodhaa Akbar (2008) by Rebecca E — 28 Mar 2009
Epic movie isnâ??t really my kind of genre movie. The epic movies I saw before are always only war scene and heroism. â??Jodhaa Akbarâ?? changed my mind about it. Beside war scene, the movie involved family, romance, politic, religion, art, female right, ethnic issueâ?¦ certain kind of social science element, enrich the movie and bring audience to experience an Indian history and culture journey. People said bollywood movie can be so popular because itâ??s truly dream factory for Indian. I kind of see how cruel the politic condition India has in reality nowaday and how much the people need to run into such an ideal world the movie created.
Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai got very mature performance here. Itâ??s so impressing thatâ??s able to make people forget about their gorgeous out-look and get rid of their item girl, item boy images.
Itâ??s a 3 hours 42 mins long but it told a clear story to audience, you donâ??t really get bored easily. The best epic movie Iâ??ve ever seen, take the place of â??Red Cliffâ?? from my list.
