I adore the first half. It was effectively suspenseful and genuinely creepy, with a premise that got me hooked. Once it's revealed what the "man" is, everything became stupid. It's one of the most frustrating movies I've ever seen because it could have been a masterpiece of horror, instead it's just painfully mediocre.
