Review of Jean de Florette (1986) by Penny L — 18 Mar 2009
A nice simple story with relentlessly optimistic hunchbacks and scheming local farmers. The cinematography and soundtrack paint a beautiful picture of 1920s rural France which I may now associate more with this film and less with beer that leaves you with a stinking hangover.
Can't wait to see the sequal.
