Review of JCVD (2008) by Alex A — 26 Jun 2009
JCVD.
It was a poignant film that you, of course, wouldn't expect from the Van Damme.
It wasn't just his performance that made the film brilliant, but also the way in which is was structured and directed.
It has a very post-modern (yes, I'm using a damn college art student term) style to it that reminds us that it is just a movie and JCVD is just a man.
The film brings back a more intellectual style that is outside the mainstream.
What else can I say? I don't. I just loved it.
