Review of JCVD (2008) by Megan R — 31 Jul 2009
Right from the opening 4-minute steadicam sequence, I knew this film had something special. It has a great premise, but it could have easily just been a self-indulgent vehicle to try and revive Van Damme's career.
Instead, it is so beautifully executed that we get a genuine introspective on the man's life. If anything, JCVD shows that with the right material, the right director, and his native tongue, Jean Claude Van Damme has some solid acting chops!
