Review of JCVD (2008) by Mike G — 05 Dec 2010
What's been crafted here is less of a return-to-form for Van Damme and more of a definitive rebirth. JCVD is shot on a gorgeous sepia veneer and features a story with so much drive and charisma that it's hard to deny it.
If you have the most insignificant amount of interest in Jean Claude's history as a third-rate action star, JCVD is a story that will both grip and overwhelm you. A 6 minute monologue from the "Muscles from Brussels" really seals the deal.
