With this film, Van Damme redeems a career of brainless action film, as his surprisingly compelling performance in this film is as heartfelt, genuine and self aware as they come. Furthermore, the film is very entertaining thanks to El Mechri's exciting storytelling ways that skilfully blend the funny moments with the sad and melancholic ones.
