Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Eris . — 06 Mar 2012

Movie based on one of my favourite books. It really disappointed me but it's not that bad. It's worth watching, though. Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender and Judi Dench did a great job. But I recommend that you read the book, because the story is way (WAY) better than the movie portrays. Michael Fassbender, as much as I adore him, should never have been cast as Mr. Rochester. He can't ever be ugly and Mr. Rochester is supposed to be ugly. The movie wasted precious lines by showing way too much landscape together with Jane Eyre doing nothing. It showed too shallowly how the bond between Eyre and Rochester was born.

And it simply didn't make any sense the fact that the Rochester mansion was all burned down and destroyed for months and Jane Eyre occasionally stumble upon Mrs. Fairfax among the debris.
