Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Darkwingschmuck — 23 Mar 2022
While it doesn't stack up against the 1944 classic, this modern take on Jane Eyre is highlighted by a strong showcase for both director Cary Joji Fukunaga and, especially, lead actress Mia Wasikowska. Wasikowska is tremendous in handling most of the heavy lifting in the film, as the focus is placed squarely on Jane over the mystery surrounding Thornfield Hall.
