Review of Jacob's Ladder (1990) by Kirill K — 07 Jul 2009
I'm hesitant to call this film "original" because the structure is a carbon copy of Ambrose Bierce's short story and the subsequent 1960 film "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge".
At feature length, the impact suffers I find and it lags greatly in the middle act. But for those who have never heard of Owl Creek, I'd recommend this (even though it does feel slightly dated).
