Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Matthew R — 15 Jan 2013
Here we find a more mature Tarantino film. It's mellowed down, loaded with more crisp dialogue rather than violence (although there is a small body count still), and plays out almost like a fairy tale.
If the film is anything, it's a showcase of how Tarantino has the talent to take from a source material (in this case it's a novel by Elmore Leonard) and make it his own through his expert direction.
