Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Matt M — 25 Apr 2013
A flight attendant is involved in a plot between the police and a drug dealer. Tarantino's adaptation of Leonard's novel is a return to the style of the Pulp Fiction violent crime drama style, but with a relatively slower pace and a story that seems a little more dragged out.
However, the long interactions between characters are close to being hypnotising and a cast of big names including Pam Grier helps make this half tribute to the blacksploitation films a gripping and entertaining one.
