Review of Jackie (2016) by Kruunch A — 05 Feb 2017
Excellently acted movie with Natalie Portman transforming into Jackie from the first second.
The theme of the movie follows Jackie from the time of the assassination of JFK through the funeral and her subsequent leaving the White House.
While the acting was tremendous the movie came off as callous and needlessly petty. I'm not sure if it was true to the actual events following the assassination, but is one of those times I'd rather not know.
To its credit, it does play off that exact theme. Unfortunately I just didn't find it a particularly interesting movie.
