Review of Jackie (2016) by Christopher B — 27 Feb 2017
This is not the standard biopic it could have easily been. Aronosfky's executive producer finger prints all over - the weird feeling throughout, the oddly flat tone punctuated by moments of exaggerated emotion, the fluctuating timelines, and atonal music.
The result in an effecting, interesting meditation on the power of myth making, celebrity, and power. Very of the moment.
