Review of Jackie (2016) by Anne K — 10 Dec 2016
The music, especially at the beginning, is as painful to the ears as it is to your stomach when you're suffering through the seemingly never ending waves of nausea associated with the worst food poisoning. This movie has an overall impression of being the product of the deep seated desires of a sadistically obsessed mind who desperately wanted to see on the big screen their perception of the torturous moments suffered by Jackie and her family around the time of JFKs death. And so we get to see Jackie's pain, in a series of tediously slow dramatizations with the glorious take home climax being the highly graphic scene of JFKs head exploding all over Jackie.
In short, unless you're Hannibal Lector, this movie will bring down your mood and bring up your lunch.
