It is very much so a standard New York love story but what would any New York love story be without some quirks to it. While in all honesty I don't see why Amy Ryan fall for Hoffman's character but in a perfect would that would nice if it was like that but in a way you sort of get it since it seems like all the other guys who would be better looking are lecherous and abusive.
Jack is without faults to but like relationships itself you got to live with other people's problems and accept them. It is a nice debut for PSH.
