Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Brad S — 18 Jan 2012
This is an excellent film which a fantastic lead performance from Kristin Scott Thomas and an excellent screenplay. Thomas plays a woman released from prison after serving 15yrs for a heinous crime and moves in with her sister and her family as she tries to put her life back together.
Thomas' character is obviously someone who carries a lot of pain and you feel for her, though her character is cold and distant. Slowly the film reveals her story and what happened as characters throughout the film try to guess. It is a powerful film and not an easy watch, but it is rewarding. Definitely check it out!
