Comden & Green's cynical MGM musical doesn't always work plot-wise but the musical numbers are tops; highlights include Gene Kelly's dance on roller skates to "I Like Myself," Cyd Charisse's big solo number, "Baby, You Knock Me Out," the three male stars' dance with trash can covers, and Dolores Gray's wonderful "Thanks A Lot, But No Thanks.
