Review of It's Alive (1974) by Paul N — 13 Feb 2009
Demented B-movie theatricality. Deals with parental paranoia and instinct, the dangers of experimental medicine and the dos and don'ts of mutant baby care. Plenty excessive horror fun and some outlandish performances and plot-developments keep it ticking over nicely, but it lacks much genuine inspiration beyond its intriguing high-concept.
