What better way to start October, the month of Halloween, than with a good old cheesy killer-baby movie! It's Alive was definitely that plus more! When the Davis family have another baby, it is a mutated nightmare to say the least! We figure out later on into the movie that the mother was exposed to some sort of radioactivity during her pregnancy, creating a genetically mutated, blood-thirsty killer infant with razor sharp teeth and claws! How hideous!! "It's Alive" is definitely a good Halloween freak fest.

It may be old, but it still contains that certain level of scare that keeps you interested. The old, 70's filming makes it that much creepier! What I love about these old horror flicks from the 70's like 'Halloween' and such is that they really play on your nerves with suspense! That is how this was.

All of the dark corners and eerie angles reminded me a lot of the original "Child's Play". You know that the evil infant is lurking in the dark corners somewhere. The movie does have its level of absolutely absurd cheese.

For instance, how does the baby makes it's way clear across the city of Los Angeles? Even for a genetically altered, mutant freak baby, that still just doesn't add up to relative physics! Anyhow, This is a perfect cheese-fest to kick-start that good old devilish Halloween spirit.

Just pray that you aren't doing any baby sitting around Halloween time lol.
