Review of It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958) by James B — 01 Oct 2007
It! pushes the typical 1950's themes of World War Two and the bomb to the side (leaving only the American eagle in the background of the credits to raise your patriotism), and in so doing creates a tale that actually holds a few tense moments compared to most B-flicks.
Unfortunately the creature's apperance sinks to the level of bad B-films, and the number of weapons used in a thin shelled ship seemed preposterous. But, then, who can really fault the film that helped inspire the greatest of them all, Alien?
