It Follows is effective in every way possible. The tension builds, the atmosphere creeps up on you, and you're always wondering where 'IT' is. Some of the shots and especially the soundtrack are great homages to John Carpenter's Halloween.
It Follows is not your typical horror movie, with no real gore or violence. Just great uses of camera, editing, music and tension that creeps up on you. A perfect tribute to 80''s horror.
