Not what I expected. The expectation was a fast paced survival horror e.g. les affamés/Ravenous. What I got was a psychological thriller / family drama that didn't deliver on either the, thriller or drama.
Not a bad film by any stretch, it's very well made, with every scene imbued with a sense of dread. The theme of how fear and ignorance can cause humanity to lose its humanity is compelling. In the end though, "It comes at Night", doesn't quite come together.
