Review of It (2017) by Callum R — 14 Sep 2017
Loved every minute of it, the nostalgia I felt from watching this was great, I loved the re-imagining of it, as IT was one of my favourite horrors as a kid, though I havent read the book yet, I plan on it.
Bill Skarsgards imagination of Pennywise the dancing clown was horrific and intriguing, though a lot more darker then Tim Curry's Penny Wise there were still moments of comedic freshness in the performance.
A lot of the jumpscares were predictable but few still got me to jump back in my seat. The performance of the child actors were also great as I believed their story and was completely immersed. The directing of IT is also to be commended the cinematography was great as well, especially the Dancing Clown scene, that would have to be the most impressionable moment of the film for me.
I would highly recommend going to see IT!
