I have to imagine that the writers of this film sat down together and watched August: Osage County. Then they turned to one another and said "Let's write a really bad semi-ripoff of this film and cast some sadly lackluster talent and have the story be choppy and make no sense and then find a really bad actress who will give us money to produce it so long as we cast her in a small role which won't matter because it will be completely irrelevant to the plot in any way possible.
