Very clever, a little smug, but overall great. I liked and cared about the characters, I laughed out loud, and was amazed by this technical marvel. The dry voice tracks added to the Wes-Andersseness of it.
As for the alleged "racism", there wasn't much of it. The whole thing was blown out of proportion. I'm sure Was Andersen respects Japanese Culture. It's worth a watch.
