Review of Isle of Dogs (2018) by Jesse G — 15 Apr 2018
In Isle of Dogs, Wes Anderson has crafted his visual masterpiece, with creative production design, a powerful score, and probably some of the most beautiful and striking stop motion animation ever created.
Story wise it is okay, the element of dogs being replaced by dog robots is a very clever touch, and the plot is heartwarming, but it can seem too weird for some, and doesn't really say anything big.
But does it accomplish what it set out to do? Abso-fucking-lutely.
