A talented voice cast, an engaging story, and precise animation make 'Isle of Dogs' a worthwhile film. Husband and wife watched this on a date night and we were both entertained and captivated, perhaps me a bit more than wife. Dogs, you see are after all MAN's best friend. Wes Anderson, does what he does, and if your a fan of his you'll enjoy. It's a little odd that the Japanese- speaking characters aren't always translated. You do desperately want to know what they'r saying and the subtitles are a little small and easily missed.
Despite the PG-13 rating I wouldn't have a problem letting a six year old watch this. Wife: 7.2; Husband; 8.3 Final Score 7.8/10.
