Wow. What a phenomenal film by Wes Anderson, if this isn't nominated for an Oscar for best animated feature this year, then the Academy are idiots. It was a thoroughly engaging story & was much darker than I expected it to be.
Definitely not a kid's movie. Maybe older children will get it & appreciate it as a love letter to man's best friend. But as an adult I saw it more as an allegory to what is going on in our world today with racism, propaganda, autocratic governments, & a crazy orange man that sits in our White House pretending to be our president.
I highly recommend it & wish more people could see it in theaters.
